In recent weeks, U.S. funding for key wildlife conservation programs in Africa has been slashed. Organizations like Tsavo Trust and the Mara Elephant Project—lifelines for big tuskers and elephant populations—have lost 40–50% of their support overnight.
These are not just numbers. They are trackers no longer placed. Rangers no longer paid. Helicopters grounded. And ultimately, elephants left more vulnerable to poaching and conflict.
In Tsavo, the last of the great tuskers walk ancient paths under growing threat. In the Mara, herds move through fragmented landscapes where protection is no longer guaranteed.
But we can still help.
If each of us gives a little, we can keep the patrols going, the collars working, and hope alive.
Every contribution—no matter how small—helps protect Africa’s iconic elephants.
Let’s not wait for extinction headlines. Let’s act now.
With hope,
