Griet Van Malderen is a Belgian wildlife photographer whose work sits at the intersection of fine art and conservation. Known for her intimate, emotive approach, she documents some of the world’s most vulnerable species in extreme and rapidly changing environments.

Working in some of the most remote and inhospitable landscapes on Earth, she combines deep field research with a highly immersive photographic approach, spending extended periods embedded in her subjects’ habitat.
