Meerkat family

There’s nothing like the quiet anticipation of meerkats to rouse them from their slumber. As the sun begins to rise, they emerge from their burrows, stretch out and slowly wake up. It was during this quiet period that I had the opportunity to take some intimate and captivating photos of their distinctive expressions and silhouettes.
